Honey and Waffles uses a classic slipped stitch motif to create a striking raised grid in the main color that is evenly decreased at the crown of the hat. For a subtler look, it can be knit in one color. The bold look of this pattern is surprisingly simple to knit.

Additional samples shown were knitted using Cascade Eco Duo (70% undyed baby alpaca, 30% merino wool) in Vanilla (#1705) and Aslan Trends Royal Apaca (100% alpaca) in Sable.

Of the dozen accessory designs that Melini has made this season, this hat/cowl set is the one that she’ll be keeping to wear herself. :-)

Skills Required: knit, purl, slip stitch, k2tog and p2tog decreases
