“Hope” is a super easy knitted hat pattern that comes in five sizes (newborn, baby, child, woman, man)! This is my “go-to” hat pattern since you can stripe it, put in some fair isle work, take away the ribbed brim and basically just make it unique.

I am making this a free pattern for all you knitters. I have made this free in the past mainly for people to use for charity work (Hurricane Sandy Survivors, Women Center, Soup Kitchens). My hope is for you to make this hat and give it to someone who needs some love and warmth in their life.

The hat begins with US 6, circular 16” needles for the brim then switches to US 8, circular 16” needles for the body, it ends with US 8 DPN’s for the crown.

Thanks for all your support over the years with my designs. I look forward to seeing your finished hats.
