This is a pattern for a simple hat that comes with a jam-packed 8-page teaching module. This module details how to prepare for and teach a three-session beginning knitting class. Please note that this document is NOT designed to teach you how to knit.

Teaching a knitting class requires serious work. My teaching modules remove a lot of the stress and preparation and allow you to enjoy your class more.

The PDF includes:

  • eight pages of detailed and innovative instructions on how to prepare for and teach a beginning knitting class, including what materials and facilities you will need, how to prepare for the class, a step-by-step schedule of what to do in class, how to handle difficult situations in the classroom, and questions to ask yourself as a teacher
  • a pattern for a simple, stylish hat that you can distribute as a class project for your students
  • full pattern and teaching support from the designer

I bring a wealth of experience to these modules: a knitter for the past 25 years, I have taught dozens of knitting classes, from beginning to advanced, in a variety of venues. I have also been a college professor for 12 years, and have thought a great deal about what works in the classroom.
