Really, what more do we need in life apart from some magic, ice cream and gorgeous yarn to knit up?

This fun cowl utilizes planned pooling to magicly make the colors from the hand-dyed yarn line-up exactly the way that you want… Without swatching. You heard correctly, no swatching and no matching the designer’s gauge (unless for some reason you really want to). And because you really do need some delicious ice cream to go along with this knitting magic, I suggest using the very dreamsicle-esqe Good Vibrations colorway from Three Irish Girls to make your cowl and spread happiness everywhere you go!

The body of the cowl is knit in the Waffle Cone Lace stitch pattern and is finished with a simple picot edge on either side. This pattern does use a provisional cast-on and I highly recommend using the crochet hook method for this as it lends itself very nicely to the techniques used to begin your cowl without making a gauge swatch.
