This pattern is a long sleeved version of Ice Lolly T-shirt, and has a slightly deeper yoke and about 2 cm/ just under 1 in more ease than the short sleeved version.

Ice Lolly T-shirt and Ice Lolly Sweater are available together here (buying T-shirt pattern you will be able to access 2 documents: 1. Ice Lolly T-shirt, 2: Ice Lolly Sweater)

Ice Lolly is easy to make - only basic skills are required. Its seamless top down construction means there is no need to sew, and the length can be easily adjusted. The neck is finished with I-cord bind off, and has button fastening at the back, which makes putting the sweater on and taking it off easy, even on a young baby; short rows are used to raise the back of neck. The body is shaped with increases at the sides, for comfortable and flattering fit.
The pattern contains 4 photo tutorials to help less experienced knitters complete the project successfully:
1. Crochet chain provisional cast on (using a crochet hook and needle simultaneously - no need to pick up
sts after crocheting a chain).

2. Short rows: wrapping stitches and picking up the wraps, shown both on a knit and on a purl row.
3. Symmetrical increases: Make 1 Left, and Make 1 Right.
4. Making a button loop.

Skill level: easy intermediate
You need to be able to knit in the round on circular and dp needles.
