Iced Kelp
Designed to represent the cold surf washing seaweed ashore in Galveston, Iced Kelp is a triangular shawl knitted sideways from the tip in an arrow construction. The stitch pattern is worked only on the right side of a tiny lace center line, with garter stitch on the left side. See the last photo for a close-up.

Work the design from charts or the full written instructions, and use yarn weights from lace to light worsted. Be sure to adjust your yarn requirements when making substitutions.

Materials used for sample (weighs 187g):
Malabrigo Yarn Sock
2 skeins Reflecting Pool
a row counter is helpful for this pattern

Acknowledgements:
The lace includes elements of a stitch pattern found in the Barbara Walker Treasuries.
