Basic Skills Necessary:

ch (US/UK: chain)
sl (US/UK: slip stitch)
sc (US: single crochet / UK: double crochet)
2 sc in 1 st (US: 2 single crochet in 1 stitch / UK: 2 double crochet in 1 stitch)
sc2tog (US: single crochet 2 together / UK: double crochet 2 together)
sclp (US: single crochet loop stitch / UK: double crochet loop stitch)
dc (US: double crochet / UK: treble crochet)
2 dc in 1 st (US: 2 double stitch in 1 stitch / UK: 2 treble stitch in 1 stitch)

Ichigo is a hedgehog boy, always carrying his favorite berry on his head. He is so curious to live with
human, but timid to get rolled up if he feels danger, no care with the berry left on his head.
This pattern contains full charts (diagrams) and written instruction with pictures of Ichigo the Hedgehog.
Also, the example and charts of head accessories are added.

Yarn:
1 main color (MC) and 1 contrasting color (CC), as needed.
You can make this hedgehog toy with any yarn weight, but the yarn colors used per one toy need to be the same or
close in weight.
I made this with Japanese “Namihuto” yarn, which has the same weight as 8ply yarn.

Hook:A bigger size and a smaller size are needed.

Bigger: Use to make the back part. I used Japanese #8 (5.00 mm3/4 as same as US #8/H and UK #6).
Smaller: Use to make all the other parts. I used Japanese #5 (3.00mm3/4 close to US #2 or #3 and UK #11).

Gauge:
The gauge is not important in this pattern, but a smaller sized hook may be better for a tighter gauge.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:
Approximate dimensions are H: 7 cm, L: 12 cm, W: 10 cm. The toy(tm)s size will change according to your stitch gauge and yarn selection.
