The simplicity of this dress allows a beautiful yarn and a beautiful baby to shine. Cap sleeves and simple A-line shaping. Make it shorter for crawlers or longer for walkers. An optional lace insert on the front adds visual (and knitting) interest. Designed with positive ease, this will grow with your baby from a dress, to a tunic, to a t-shirt. Perfect for spring and summer!

I am offering the 12 month size for free! Please click here to get the free 12 month size pattern.

The full pattern with sizes 3, 6, 12, and 18 months can be purchased from my Etsy store, Mother & Daughter Yarns, or here on Ravelry by clicking the Buy Now button.

If substituting yarn, I recommend something with memory and drape such as a blend of wool or alpaca with silk, linen, or bamboo. A 100g skein of fingering weight yarn should be enough for all sizes, though I recommend having extra on hand for the 12 and 18 month sizes just in case.

This garment is worked seamlessly from the top-down using the contiguous sleeve method developed by Susie Myers, SusieM on Ravelry (http://www.ravelry.com/people/SusieM).
