This is a beanie/toque type hat that uses both standard and twisted stitches for cables to create added texture to the design. It’s definitely not meant for the faint of heart, but the results are well worth the effort.

the knitting stitch key chart text has been updated with 2 corrections

December 2016 NOTE The pattern download has been corrected to reflect the errata listed below. (Apparently that was done at the end of February, but I forgot to mention, here, that the file was corrected.)


UPDATE February 9, 2016: Row 20 of the chart was updated to include two missing purl stitches.

ERRATA February 11, 2016: Row 32 needs the start of the row shifted one stitch to the left. At the start of row 31, purl the first stitch, adding it to the previous row. That stitch will become the last stitch used at the end of row 32 for the centered, double purl decrease.
