This is a fun, fast knit great for everyday wear and designed for DK weight fibers. This scarf works up with a combination of two lobster claw cables and a subtle zigzag in easy to remember charts. It measures about 6” high and 46” in circumference when finished, giving it just enough length for one comfortable loop. The pattern looks great in just about any color way from speckles to stripes making it perfect for that lone skein. So blast some B-52’s and rock this knit!

Skills needed for this pattern include basic knit, purl, yarn over and working a 4 stitch cable.

Tools required are sz 5 32” circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge,) cable needle, tapestry needle and stitch marker.

Yarns recommended for this would be any DK weight. I’ve worked this pattern in Hedgehog Fibres Merino DK, Cascade Longwood Sport Strip and Universal Yarn Cotton Supreme Batik with similar results. The Cascade ended up stretching a bit after blocking though so it was my least favorite results.
