Classic cardigan with a vintage attitude, modern fit, and charming details including a cable and bobble berry border, pretty cable-decrease shaping, and a tidy hemmed stockinette band.

Construction: It’s the Berries is knit in 5 pieces from the bottom and seamed, with set-in sleeves. Live stitches at front shoulders are “grafted” to bound off back shoulder stitches for a seamless yet stable shoulder. Front and neckline band is picked up and knitted in one piece with mitered corners at the neckline.

Finished Sweater Sizes:32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52)“ / 81.5 (91.5, 101.5, 112, 122, 132) cm. Sweater shown was modified to measure 38” / 96.5 cm, worn with 2” / 5 cm positive ease.

Yarn: Sunday Knits 5 ply (worsted weight yarn) in Eden (100% merino), Nirvana (92% merino, 8% cashmere), Angelic (75% merino, 25% angora) or Brigadoon (100% merino tweed); (125 m/50 g): 7 (8, 8, 9, 10, 11) skeins. Shown in Eden dove.

Needles & Notions: 7 / 4.5 mm straight or circular needles for body and Size 6 / 4.0 mm circular needles with long cable for band; markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle, eight 3⁄4” / 2 cm buttons.
