I used yarn:
Recommended substitution (based on the yarn successfully used by testers): 1) Katia Sky Paillettes 50 g – 160 m 2) Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk 25 g – 140 m (double stranded)

Other yarn recommendations (lace yarn): 1. Cascade Yarns El Cielo (double stranded) 2. Knit Picks Alpaca Bloom Lace 3. We Are Knitters Touch Me Mohair

You can use any yarn that is similar in weight and length.
When substituting yarn pay closer attention to the yarn content, it has to be similar to the original, otherwise you might need more yarn!
