This pattern is part of the eBook “Knitting Untangled - The Easier Way to Learn to Knit.” available from my web site and at iTunes. Please note there are two versions of the book; an interavtive PDF with embedded video, viewable using Acrobat Reader version 8 and later which will play on any computer but the video portion will not play if viewed on a tablet like iPad and an Pad version available at iTunes.

I designed this sweater for my nephew, James. The details are, again, simple and don’t distract from the glory of this yarn, Classic Elite’s Portland Tweed. Once this sweater is washed and blocked the yarn blossoms into an amazing thing. I decided not to set the cables on the sleeves off by borders of purl stitches, giving it a lovely subtlety. The addition of the saddle shoulders gives this design that little extra sophistication.
