I think she would, but I believe her elegance would be more noticed by others.

As she walked the halls of Netherfield, I can picture her wrapped in a light, lacy shawl that is tasteful, not overdone: a plain stockinette stitch body with a wide lace border which brings out the loveliness of her personality. The square shape and the picot edging lend it a classic feel, one that brings to mind the ageless tales of Ms. Austen.
