Difficulty: medium to advanced. Charts only. Pattern in English. You will be asked to work according to three different charts at the same time. Japanese stitches means lots of unusual stitch symbols.

Size: S/M (L, XL/XXL)
Circumference at bottom edge 59 (67, 74.5) inches or 150 (170, 190) cm. Can be made larger or smaller or sizes in between as described in the pattern. Front length 14.2 (16.5, 18.9) inches or 36 (42, 48) cm.

Yarn: 2 (3, 3) skeins of Zitron Seidenstrasse, 65% merino 35% silk, 437 yards (400 m) / 100g.

Needles: US 2.5 (3 mm) circular needle or the needle you need to get gauge. You will also need a crochet hook the same size as your needle for the CO.

Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows is 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cm) in st st. The sizes given are for the specified gauge, if your gauge is different, the size will be different.

Other notions: Stitch markers. Cable needles.

Construction: The poncho is worked in the round from the bottom up, with a nifty cast on edge. No seaming needed. Neck opening can easily be made larger (or smaller) if wanted. Can be made with either a short rib neck or a turtleneck.
