TWO cowl stitch looks in ONE pattern!!!

I’ll admit, the first time I saw bead work I thought to myself, no way, too hard, BUT bead work is not as hard as it looks and adds jewelry right into your crochet cowl! Even my pattern testers that had never used beads all said ‘that was easier than I thought!’
I’ve included a picture tutorial for using beads on the edging of both cowl looks.

Includes the following:
Instructions for Jewel Cowl in the Puff Stitch and Gull Stitch looks.
Sizes: One Size

Supplies
Crochet Hook:
5.0 mm Hook (H)
Darning Needle
Sewing thread and thin needle
Scissors
42 Craft Beads- small and lightweight with a hole big enough for threading yarn. If using a very small bead, switch to lace weight yarn for edging. Glass beads tend to be too heavy.

Yarn:
Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton- DK Weight
Option 1- Puff Stitch: Colors Buff (main color) and Major Teal (Trim)
Option 2- Gull Stitch: Colors shown are Ice (blue) and Gold (yellow)
Approx 120 Yards for Puff Shell main color and 13 yards for edging.
Approx 125 Yards for Gull Stitch
Cowl Measures 3 ½ inches in width and 17 inches in length.

This pattern requires some crochet experience and knowledge of the basic knit stitches. I’ve also included definitions and pictures to help with stitches.
