I made this reading character bookmark to commemorate Jill’s historic climb up the hill. This will be a favorite of any reader.

This is a fun pattern to make. This makes a quick gift for a reader.

The crochet stitches include, sc, hdc, dc, tr and sl st. The pattern includes description of abbreviations and complete instructions.

You will need a Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm). This is a larger size hook than usually used with thread crochet and makes working with thread crochet easier for those who are not comfortable with thread.

You will also need a tapestry needle, fabric glue, bedspread weight cotton thread (size 10)
10 yards peach (or choice of skin color)
25 yards mint green (or choice of pinafore color)
13 yards cream (or choice of chemise color)
3 yards brown (or choice of pail, eye and shoe color)
Small amount red (or choice of mouth color) Could also use embroidery floss
1 skeins yellow, gold (or choice of hair color) embroidery floss
Small amount of polyester fiberfill.
