These bowls are designed to be knit totally in the round. The instructions are for each bowl knit with one yarn. Additional information provided for row color changes pictured.

Links are included to the “Emily Ocker Circular Cast On” and the jogless jog color change. The pattern does not teach these techniques.

This design can be knit with any worsted wool or wool blend yarn that will felt.

Diameter estimations after felting
Small 2½” –3½”
Medium 3¾“–4 ½”
Large 5”–5½“
Sizes differ due to differences in the felting process.

This pattern is named for my mother, Joann Elizabeth, who passed away April 2012.

Materials:
• Worsted Yarn that will felt: Approximately 160 yards total if knitting with one color
• Stitch markers
• Darning needle
Needles Used:
• US10 (6mm) double point
• Crochet Hook G (4mm) or H (5mm)
Gauge:
2 inches = 8 sts, in stockinette, before felting
Techniques Used:
• ssk, M1L, kfb
