These keychains have been designed to work up quickly so that you can make plenty in perfect time for your next fundraiser.

They are the perfect size for a keychain, made with either DK (light worsted, no.3 weight) yarn or Aran weight (worsted, no.4 weight) yarn and a hook that provides you with nice tight stitches.

The proceeds from this pattern will be donated to UNICEF who are working with partners to reach vulnerable children and families in Ukraine with essential services – including health, education, protection, water and sanitation – as well as life-saving supplies.

From UNICEF’s Website March 2022
‘The war in Ukraine poses an immediate and growing threat to the lives and well-being of the country’s 7.5 million children. Humanitarian needs are multiplying by the hour as fighting intensifies. Children continue to be killed, wounded and deeply traumatized by the devastating violence all around them. Families are terrified, in shock, and desperate for safety.
The past eight years of conflict in Ukraine have already inflicted profound and lasting harm to children. Now, the immediate and very real threat to Ukraine’s children has grown. Homes, schools, orphanages, and hospitals have all come under attack. By 10 March, more than 1 million children had fled Ukraine as war continues to ravage the country as families desperately seek safety and protection. Displaced children are at heightened risk of violence, exploitation and abuse, while displaced women and girls are especially at risk of gender-based violence when sheltering or seeking asylum. Meanwhile, civilian infrastructure like water and sanitation facilities have been hit, leaving millions without access to safe water.’
