KIKA

幾何 (Japanese) - geometry

This triangular shawl is a transform garment and accessory. Worked with custom pattern that creates differently textured looks on each side - dimensional square basket weave on one and diamond eyelet on the other which renders this knit completely reversible.

July 22, 2021 - KIKA pattern had now been updated to include 4 different sizes to suit a range of styles and possibilities! It has also been updated to include charts. English version only. Italian version is only available in the original version/size 1.

GAUGE
20 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10 cm in Eyelet pattern swatch, washed and heavily blocked, measured over relaxed dry fabric.
To work a swatch, start on the shawl and measure your gauge worked over the first 30 rows of Section A. It should measure 4” tall and 9” wide from the edge, washed and heavily blocked, measured over relaxed.

NOTES
This shawl is worn not just as a shawl but also as a transform - result of a transformation providing wearer with numerous options for styling. Worked tip up at first in a textured eyelet pattern, then split to work on the center section for back, then on left front and then right front. And then finally joined again together to continue work in 1 piece.

Kika was April 2014 installment of A Verb For Keeping Warm Pro-Verbial Yarn Club.
