Kimono is stocking stitch with a garter border.

The pattern suggests 7 skeins for the small, 8 skeins for the medium, 9 skeins for the large. However, you can complete the medium sized kimono with 7 skeins of the worsted weight yarn, using the US size 7 and 8 needles.
