This crescent shaped shawl pattern grew directly out of a conversation with a friend who loves garlic. The yarn color inspired thoughts of my garlic, sitting patiently in the dirt below the snow covering, waiting to be the first greenery to sprout in the spring. The garlic scapes that inspired the swirly knits and purls are a welcome addition to pesto in our house!

This pattern is charted and will show up best when a solid or semi-solid yarn is used.

Shawl size after blocking, 50” wide by 10” deep.
Gauge: 23 sts = 4 inches in unblocked stockinette stitch, 20 sts = 4 inches after blocking

This shawl can be worked in other yarns at other gauges, just be aware that it will change your yardage requirements.
