Description
The name Kintra personifies the spirit of this fast, easy and reversible mitt design. An old-fashioned American colloquialism for family, friends and folks nearby, Kintra mitts are so simple and versatile, you can create an endless array to warm the hands (and hearts) of those you love.

To help you accomplish this, the pattern includes two easy slipped rib stitches that are completely unisex, identical on both sides and highly adaptable. By mixing and matching stitches, yarn and color choices, you can tailor Kintra to suit everyone on your knitting list.

Worked flat and highly portable, both stitches produce stretchy ribbed fabrics that hug the hand without additional shaping. As an added plus, the no-fuss thumb openings make these mitts especially versatile, since they can also be worn as wristers, gauntlets or folded cuffs.

The pattern includes directions for four design options and five sizes (XS to XL). Written for sport weight yarn with a bit of memory, it readily adapts to virtually any yarn weight or fiber you might choose.

Skill Level 2: Easy
Kintra is fast, easy and suited to any knitter who can cast on, knit, k2tog, ktbl, purl, slip stitches and bind off.
