Easy - suitable for knitters with basic skills

I love all the gorgeous self striping and color block yarns but find that they can be hard to work with, the colors can pool and look too stripy. This diagonal scarf solves the problem and shows off these yarns at their best.

It can easily be made wider or longer. You can knit a small neck warmer or a more substantial scarf.

The scarf is appropriate for a knitter with average skills or an adventurous beginner. It uses several different increase and decrease stitches.
