Knitted Shoulder Bag
by Phoebe Lim
A free version is also available.
I always wanted to use sock yarn on a knitted bag. I got my opportunity when I bought the yummy Berries & Cookies summer sock yarn from Mabel of Simple Scarves.
The bag body is knitted in garter stitch sideways. I get a nice single ribbing effect but I didn’t do single ribbing.
When the body is sewn up, the sides of the garter stitches become the opening. This makes picking up stitches easier for me as I just pick from the knit rows and skip the purl rows.
