Knit some lovely animals for a farm, a basic pattern here is adapted slightly to make a sheep, pig or cow. Bellies of the animals are worked flat, with stitches picked up and the body worked in the round. Some stitches are bound off for the back and the remainder worked in the round for the neck, casting on for the head. Stitches are picked up and worked in the round for the legs and other detail is worked and sewn on. Any yarn can be used, just use a smaller needle to ensure a tight gauge so stuffing doesn’t show.
