Pleasts create an added dimension in knitwear which I had to use. The Mostly Merino yarn has a lot of give to it and is ideal for working pleats. I have designed a cropped cardigan, knitted in one piece so that the pleats all face the same direction with a reversible scarf collar in a new cabled cord pattern by Lynne Barr.

The cropped cardigan is knitted in one piece from the bottom of the back, adding sleeves and then separating at the front, continuing to the bottom of the fronts. The scarf collar is knitted separately and sewn in place.
