I have always wanted to make a versatile cat pattern, where you can make a lot of different cat poses from just one single pattern.
Kucing (means ‘cat’ in Indonesian) is the answer.
The possibility of poses from this pattern are endless. I’ve made 4 kittens with different poses during the process of writing this pattern, it’s so addictive I wanted to make one after another. It’s also small enough so you can make it in under one day.

What’s making the pattern so versatile:

  1. Detached basic body parts.
  2. Wire structure (using pipe cleaners). The detached parts allow you to place them wherever you like according to your own design, and the wire structure makes bending the parts possible, resulting in different kitten poses.

Instruction available for circular and flat knitting. For intarsia motif patterning, graph papers for the body and head in flat knitting are provided.
