The gentle sea, sways. Rocking against quietly thrumming hulls. The cradle of night is dark, the air is chill. Although the last embers of day have faded away, the warmth of home is close to hand.

La Mer Douce is a hot water bottle cozy, knit to mimic a traditional fisherman’s Gansey. It uses traditional stitch patterns, cables, and construction elements. The back buttoned flap, boasts a simple heart motif. Knitters would often place theis heart and other motifs on the sweaters they were making - worked with their wishes of love, luck and safe return.
