Labyrinth Lullaby is a traveling stitch lattice design that can be worked either in the original tapered design or in the alternative version (which simply carries the stitch pattern all the way down to the point that you would begin your toe section). Although it looks busy this pattern is intuitive and you will soon be lulled into a sweet, sweet knitting rhythm.

Available in unisex sizing XS/48 stitch count, S/60 stitch count, M/72 stitch count, L/84 stitch count, and XL/ 96 stitch count. You’ll need anywhere from 360 to 460 yards depending upon your size and which instep you work - the alternative has more lattice work and will use more yarn than the tapered version. For instance, I used 425 yards when I worked the tapered version in the extra-large size for a friend (for a ladies size 12 - fit my husband’s size 11 feet), but I would need approximately 440 yards for the alternative version. I used about 360 yards for the large stitch count when I knit the pair for my sister-in-law (who wears a US ladies 10 shoe size) also in the tapered design, but would have needed closer to 380 yards if I worked the alternative version.

Speaking of my sister-in-law this pattern is dedicated to her and any other lady or gentleman who has to fight breast cancer. She was very fortunate and is a survivor due to early detection and treatment. To celebrate her good fortune and to help others fifty cents from the sale of every pattern will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. We hope to help give everyone facing this horrible disease a chance at survival and maybe one day a cure, thanks for being a part of that hope.
