This is a knitting pattern for a delicate Lace Alpaca Hoodie Cowl (a prettier version of the balaclava or cagoule) that can be made for a woman or teenage girl (one size).

You will get 2 PDF files by instant download: the first one in English and the second one is the same knitting pattern as the first, but in French.

Each file contains 4 pages of detailed and easy to follow instructions for each language with photos of the finished hoodie cowl.

This pattern uses knitting in the round as well as flat knitting techniques and is suitable for an intermediate knitter or a beginner knitter, provided he/she is comfortable with knitting in the round on a circular needle.

If you have never knitted lace before, do not be afraid as it is easier than it looks, and I have provided very clear instructions in the pattern but please do send me a message if you need more help after purchasing this pattern.

Materials needed :
Rowan Alpaca Cotton Aran/Medium worsted weight yarn (50g/135m/148yds, 72% Alpaca, 28% Cotton), 2 balls. Colour shown in picture is pink (shade 00407).
US size 85mm 24in 60cm long circular needle, or size to obtain correct gauge.
US size 85mm straight knitting needles (optional).
Stitch markers.
