Brand new pattern!

I hope you enjoy. Please let me know if there is any errata.

A note on sizing: The hat is extremely stretchy and will fit a wide variety of head sizes. For example the child hat in the picture is worn by both a 9 month old and a 3 year old.

Pattern includes information on pattern adjustments.

The Lacy Julian Hat is knit in the round and in a bottom up fashion. After a few rows of ribbing the pattern switches to a traveling stitch lace design that matches the “V” design of the Julian Vest.

Sizing and modification information

The blue hat shown is the kids size and the handspun one is the adult size. The lace is so stretchy that its hard to really pin down how big the hat is.

Between the kids and the adult versions there is a 12 stitch difference which is about 2-3 inches depending on your gauge. Then there is also an additional pattern repeat for the adult version which gives another 1.5-2” or so in length.

the pattern repeat is 12 stitches, in a 3 6 3 setup. But you could go up to a 4 8 4 setup for a 16 stitch repeat and cast on 80 stitches (5 repeats) if you want a slightly different circumference.
