These toe-and heel-less socks work up quickly in a DK or light worsted weight yarn.

The pattern is given in US crochet terms, and uses extended single crochet as well as trebles, front post trebles, and an optional crab stitch border. A chart is provided for the openwork pattern.

You need 250-275 meters DK or (light worsted) weight yarn, a crochet hook size 4.5 mm, and two stitch markers.

The design is named after the town in Tolkien’s Middle Earth.
