I created the larger of the two cowls in this pattern for my dear husband who likes to have something to warm his neck on cold winter nights. It is certainly warm!

My oldest niece, Stephanie (who was born on April Fool’s day) liked the bigger cowl, but wanted something a bit smaller and more “open,” as she put it. The smaller cowl is designed for her.

These are both fast knits and by turning your work and picking up loops to close gaps, there is no purling required! Perfect for last minute gift making.
