What do you do when you have a single skein of variegated yarn that doesn’t show texture well? What could you make with a few partial balls of treasured leftovers? What if you want a simple, yet intriguing knit to take on a retreat or weekend away with friends? This shawlette answers those questions with a simple stitch pattern that will highlight a great color way or use up your scraps. Think outside the box- laterally!

There are three versions of this pattern. V1 allows you to use smaller skeins of sport weight or fingering weight held double to use up leftovers and scraps. V2 and V3 are written for a single skein of sport weight or a full skein of fingering weight held double with instructions on how to use as much of the yarn as possible. V2 and V3 are different shapes/variations on a theme. You choose the finished size that works best for you!
