I created this shawl because I wanted a classical looking triangular shawl to wear during fall. This triangular shawl gets its great texture by alternating rows of ribbing and garter stitch. It is adorned by a nice little cable that goes all along the top edge. It has also a larger cable on the spine. It is so squishy you will want to wear it every day ofthe cold season.

Materials
• 6 skeins of Rowan hemp tweed yarn (Aran weight 75% Wool, 25% Hemp 104 yards / 50 g) For a total of 624 yards, 300 g (570m, 10,6 oz) or other similar yarn (Colorway used for the sample is
Denim)
• 4,5 mm (US size 7) circular needles (or size required to achieve gauge)
• Piece of scrap yarn and a crochet for provisional cast-on
• Cable needle
• 4 stitch markers
• Darning needle to weave in ends

Gauge
16 sts and 24 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in 2/2 ribbing after blocking

Note that the yarn I used is considered aran
weight, but it is finer than most aran yarn because
of the hemp content. If you plan to use a different
yarn, you could use a worsted or maybe a DK
weight yarn for this shawl as long as your gauge is
close enough and the fabric is drapey without
being too loosely knitted
