Le Bon Voyage adult sweater
I simply love this sweater! Due to the dopped shoulders and set-in sleeves, it’s probably the most well-fitting sweater that I’ve ever owned.
Construction
The sweater is worked top-down and seamlessly.
You start work the upper back and upper front top-down to underarms, where work is joined and the lower body is worked in the round until bind-off. The sleeves are worked in-the-round and top-down from picked-up and knit sts around the armhole-openings. The neckline is worked in-the round.
Sizes
Finished chest circumference, after washing and blocking. 83/90/97/105/113/121/128/136 cm = 33/35.5/38/41.5/44.5/47.5/50.5/54” The samples are worked in size 1 (33”), with 5 cm/2” of positive ease.
Materials
Yarn: there are 2 alternatives. Alternative 1, the blue pullover is worked using 1 strand of Fine Kid Mohair from Wallöe, in colour 21, 1 strand of Alpaca 1 from Isager in colour 100. Of these specific yarns you will need 1050/1150/1250/1375/1500/1625/1750/1900 m = 1150/1255/1365/1500/1635/1775/1910/2075 yards of each of the yarn-qualities. Alternative 2, the brown DK pullover is worked using Pernilla from Filcolana. Of this specific yarn you will need 1125/1200/1325/1450/1550/1675/1800/1950 m = 1230/1310/1445/1580/1690/1825/1965/2125 yards. Needles: size 3.5 mm/US4 for the main-work, size 3 mm/US2.5 for the ribbed neckline, hem and cuffs.
