This top-down zippered jacket is knit in one piece and combines contrasting colors for maximum visual impact. Brioche ribbing accents incorporate the two colors in a duet performance while the slip stitch border accents flow into the ribbing and provide visual interest against stockinette stitch. With raglan shaping that flatters most body types this twist on a classic is a perfect candidate for layering and conveys a casual feel whether you choose to finish it with a collar or hood.

Skill level: Intermediate. The pattern utilizes basic decreasing and increasing skills, and a two color brioche stitch worked both flat and in the round.

Substituting Yarns
Any worsted weight yarn can be substituted. Choosing a yarn with some natural elasticity will yield better results in brioche stitch.

Approximate yardage requirements:
MC 600655, 750, 825, 925, 1025, 1100, 1175 yards (Add 110-120 yards for hood)
CC 425435, 480, 525, 560, 650, 665, 675 yards (Add 110-120 yards for hood)
I have targeted areas that can be altered for a customized fit. Make sure when purchasing yarn for this project that your yardage reflects any changes you make.
