I have a fondness for weird and unexpected food combinations. The most questionable is the ballpark “favorite” here in Cleveland, the Slider Dog, which is topped with mac and cheese, bacon, and Froot Loops. Why? I’m not entirely sure, but I usually buy at least one every baseball season. Do I enjoy it? I still can’t answer that, but I do enjoy the confused looks of people sitting around me!

Variegated yarns and patterned socks leave many knitters similarly scratching their heads. Does the combo work? Should it? Does it stop us? Of course not!

Like Froot Loops on a Hot Dog is a tribute to questionable dietary choices and yarn purchases. It is available for both cuff down and toe up construction and is written for two stitch counts (64 and 80 stitches on the foot). Instructions are for Magic Loop/two circulars, but experienced sock knitters should be able to adjust for dpns.

Your purchase includes two files, one for toe up and the other for cuff down. Both versions feature a heel flap and gusset construction.
