Little Green is a mini shawl designed to knit up in one fancy skein of yarn, making it a great souvenir knit, or a good use for solitary hanks of luxury lightweight yarns.

It takes only 412-440 yards to make, and has a button option to secure the ends.

This design uses the same offset point idea as the one in Isometric Screenshot, plus some new texture patterns and lateral braids! The yarn I used for the sample is pretty nice, but unfortunately seems to be discontinued; from experience, I think Malabrigo Yarn Mechita would be a nice substitute.

Materials:

  • 1 skein of Hue Loco Vintage Sock/412-440 yards similar fingering-weight yarn
  • 1 24”+ circular needle in US 4-5/35-3.75mm, or size needed for gauge
  • Removable stitch markers
  • 6 buttons, ½“ or sized to fit eyelets; thread and needle for buttons, if necessary
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge:
Gauge is 20 sts and 36 rows over 4”/10cm of garter stitch, worked flat & blocked. Please be sure to check your gauge.
