Whether tromping through the forest, or prowling in the shadows of your own backyard. This little cap is perfect for any dinosaur or monster in your life!

This cap pattern will allow you to make a one of a kind, personalized stegosaurus or monster cap. I am sorry that I can not demonstrate every possible look that you can create. Instead I will give you tools and you can let your creative imagination fly. The possibilities are limited only by your own imagination.

This Pattern provides instructions for creating a custom fit cap for any head size. And features a variety of instructions for creating a one of a kind cap. Instructions for knit or crochet spikes. Felt, crochet or embroidery eyes, and felt, knit or crochet teeth in two different styles (pointy or flat).

Yarn, needles and notions:
I suggest working in bulky weight yarn with size 10-10 1/2 needles.

Additional size 8 dpns or size H crochet hook. Both are size 5.00 mm. This is for making spikes, teeth and eyes, hook may also be used to work in ends.

Tapestry needle for stitching on spikes, making eyes and working in ends.

You will want color A for edging. Color B for body of cap. Color C for spikes, and additional D and E for eyes and teeth.

For colors A,B and C I suggest Bulky weight. For colors D and E I suggest worsted weight ( most common is white for teeth and eyes and black for pupils.)

Gauge:
Do a gauge swatch. My gauge is 6 sts = 2 in bulky weight yarn on size 10 ½ needles”.
