Some of you will no doubt get the name of this patter, though it really has nothing to do with the movie.. The name came to mind since my son (the one who will get these socks) will not walk inside. He is forever running around from place to place and I am always finding myself telling him to quit. So, Logan’s Run seemed to fit quite nicely.

Ive done up a number of socks for myself and my daughter, and had now decided to treat my boys to some. of my boys is incredibly pigeon toed and has some seriously insane arches to them… This has kind of put me off making socks for him, at least until now.

I decided to keep the sock in 2x2 ribbing as much as possible (and later decided this just wasn’t enough), as well as placing the dec down the bottom of the foot rather than the sides, as you would with a usual flap heel and gusset. This idea came about while knitting myself a pair of socks “The Gardener” by Leslie Comstock.

These socks knit up really quick (yay for tiny feet!) and the dec on the sole seem to have done the job quite nicely. As you can see with the pictures I’ve added, they fit his feet really well.
