A lovely complicated looking lace - but it isn’t. It is much much easier to work than it looks.

Knitted in a scrumptiously soft (sadly discontinued) yarn in fingering weight yarn these are one of my favourite pairs of socks. Any fingering weight yarn will work.

Have a look at my Lotus Blossom Cowl that I worked up in the same stitch pattern in another scrumptiously soft yarn that gradually changes colour. Too soft for socks but the idea works nicely and would make a great pair of socks if you can find a similar yarn that has nylon in it.
