“Love and marriage, love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage…” This top-down shawl brings together some of my favorite things. Squishy wool in Garter Stitch and a traditional Shetland Lace Stitch are married with doily-type increases and leaves in this top-down ¾ circle shawl that sits perfectly on my shoulders without the need for a shawl pin.

Size: 36 inch wingspan and 17 inch drop. (91.5 by 43 cm)

Materials:
Liverpool Yarns Meadow Fingering 2018 (100% Shetland Wool; 160 yds 146 m/50 gr): 4 skeins.

US 6 (4mm) 40 inch circular needles, or size required to obtain gauge.
Stitch markers (optional for marking repeats), smooth waste yarn for provisional cast on, large eyed tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in St st.
