Mackensie’s Cowl is a long, lightweight cowl that can be worked up in 2-3 evenings of crocheting. It would be a quick holiday gift for a friend or relative.

The cowl is 53 inches (134.6 cm) around and 9 inches (22.9 cm) in width (from inside edge to the tip of the outside edging).

I used 3 hanks of Berroco Flicker which gives the cowl just a hint of sparkle and is soft and spongy. When I finished, I had about 1/2 of a hank of yarn remaining. I think Mackensie’s Cowl would lend itself well to hand-dyed yarns.

The following stitches were used: Chain, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet, Treble Crochet, Slip Stitch. Stitch combinations: Picot

The edging requires a multiple of 14 stitches. So, if you decide to shorten or lengthen the cowl, you will need to make sure to have that multiple around in order for the edging to work out evenly.
