’makalio’ is seamless and versatile. the unique texture of shibui’s linen, held together throughout with shibui’s staccato (merino and silk), is showcased in this vest/cowl/wrap.

i know that ‘one size fits all’ is a hard to believe claim, but this has been worn as a vest by both a size 2 woman and a size 3x woman. it fit them both differently, but well. i’m wearing it in the photos and i am a long-waisted size 6.

also, there are ever so many ways to wear it:

pics #1 and #2
thread an 18” pc of leather cording through the center back

pic #3
vest worn as knit with no accessories

pic #4
head put through both armholes and wrapped twice

pic #5
center back of vest folded across it’s width, sleeves lay doubled and pinned at front

pic #6
head put through left armhole, leather cording used to tie right armhole to center back

pic #7
belt worn on outside of the back and buckled inside of the right and left fronts

1st bonus option (no pic)
how about a narrow belt threaded through just below the chest for the look and feel of an empire waist.

2nd bonus option (no pic)
head put through both armholes and worn as a long cowl

what other ways can you think of to wear it? leave me a message here on my blog.

huge thanks to caryn for the photography.
