Anne of Green has always been a favorite of mine. I couldn’t get enough of the films, t. v. shows, or books. anything that had to do with L. M. Montgomery created I had to immerse myself in.

This sock reminds me of Marilla Cuthbert. The simple textured stitch is sturdy like her, but the lace cuff shows off her soft side she always tried to hide. The colors in this sock remind me of the Victorian Era, I love so much. The flecks of pinkish purple are the color of raspberry cordial. One of my favorite scenes in the book was when Diana comes to tea and mistakenly drink elderberry wine for raspberry cordial.

This sock is a simple textured pattern that is easy to remember and great for on the go knitting. I can’t wait to see the different variations you all come up with. I hope you enjoy knitting these socks as much as I did designing them.
