These cute Russian nesting doll pouches are perfect for keeping things organized at home or on the go. Each bag has a snap or zipper closure (your choice!) to keep your items secure. Use for cosmetic bags, jewelry bags, knitting accessory pouches, techno cozies, and/or coin purses. They nest inside each other for easy storage when not in use.

Sizes:
Extra Small: 3” wide x 4 1/2” tall
Small: 3 3/4” wide x 5 3/4” tall
Medium: 4 1/2” wide x 7” tall
Large: 5 1/4” wide x 8 1/4” tall
Extra Large: 6 ¼” wide x 8 ½” tall

Yarn:
50g of sock yarn in color A
50g of sock yarn in color B

Needles: Set of US 1 (2.25mm or 2.5mm) double-pointed needles

Gauge: approx 8 sts and 11 rows = 1” in stockinette stitch (Gauge not terribly important)

Other:
Waste yarn, crochet hook (for provisional cast on)
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
15-20 sew-in snaps, or 4 zippers (one per pouch) between 4”-7” long
Thread and hand sewing needle
Scraps felt for face and hair appliqués
Embroidery thread for faces and belly

PATTERN NOTES

Each pouch is knit from the top down, almost exactly as if it were a toe-up sock. You can use the toe cast-on method of your choice if you are familiar with knitting socks from the toe up.
