It’s Sock time again! You can work this classic houndstooth sock pattern to fit the foot you want. Teen, man, woman--small to large. Two charts will be provided, and you can further tweak sizing by going up or down a needle size or two. These stranded socks feature a classic design, best shown off by using a hardtwist, solid sock yarn. Two highly contrasting colors are your best options (between 200 and 250 yds of each). Classic black and white, red and black, or dark gray and cream. You get the idea. Of course, you can always color outside the box and go crazy with purple and orange, if you want. As always, color is YOUR choice!

US#3 DPNs (or circ, if you like working top-down socks on circs). (You can go down a needle size or two to tweak sizing.) On #3 needles, you will gauge at about 8 sts per inch.

The design will be a classic one you will recognize after a few rounds. You will be able to make women’s or men’s socks. You can work it on 64 or 72 sts…actually, any multiple of 8 sts, and you will be able to further tweak the sizing by going up or down a needle size.

So, who’s in for some classy classic socks?
