Tribute #3 in my collection is to Maya Angelou. I cried like a baby when Maya Angelou died. That such a soul had departed this earth made me sad and happy at the same time. Ms. Angelou didn’t come into my life until about ten years ago. I remember when I first read some of her work and the first time I heard her speak I was so moved by every single word she spoke in that voice. Maya Angelou was a lot of things to different people. To me she was the voice of inspiration and hope and I felt my spirit lighten every time I heard her. This is a fine sock for a fine woman. It is knit from the picot cuff to the star toe and my tribute to her.

Charting is being done and will be uploaded soon thanks to Condichick.

If you have less yardage consider knitting the leg a repeat shorter or making the sock a footie.

There will be 6 socks in this series each released the 20th of the month ending June 20, 2015
